Accessibility Statement for Integrated Care Academy (ICA)
This accessibility statement applies to: https://www.ica.org.uk.
This website is run by the Integrated Care Academy (ICA). We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
ICA has implemented and verified a wide range of accessibility features to ensure its website can be used effectively by people with disabilities. These include:
- Alternative text and media
- Forms and input fields
- Language and semantics
- Page structure
- ARIA Enhancements
These features have been verified through internal audits, user testing, and automated tools including Lighthouse, Axe, and WAVE.
Use of PDF documents
We occasionally link to PDF (Portable Document Format) documents on our website where necessary — for example, to share brochures, reports, or official documents that are best presented in a printable format.
Wherever a PDF link is used, we ensure:
- The link text clearly indicates it is a PDF (e.g. “Download our brochure (PDF)”)
- The document is reviewed for accessibility and, where possible, created using accessible standards (e.g. tagged structure, logical reading order, alternative text)
- An accessible HTML alternative is provided or made available on request where possible
If you experience difficulty accessing any PDF content, please contact us and we will provide the information in an alternative format.
Feedback and contact information
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the ICA website. If you encounter accessibility barriers or require information in an alternative format (e.g. accessible PDF, large print, easy read, audio recording or braille), please contact:
